External editor close not detected; UI stale with "Save and close editor to continue"

When using Ctrl+G to open an external editor for the prompt:

1. Edit in Sublime Text and close the editor
2. The screen is not redrawn—the stale message "Save and close editor to continue..." persists
3. The UI remains frozen on this message despite the editor having closed

Environment:

• Claude Code v2.1.150
• Haiku 4.5 / Claude Pro
• Windows 11 PowerShell
• External editor: Sublime Text
