[Bug] Diacritical marks disappear when typing uppercase letters

Question

**Bug Description**
I can't type a capital letter with a diacritical mark. When I start typing a wedge or acute, it appears, but as soon as I try to type a capital letter, the diacritical mark disappears and nothing is entered. It works fine with lowercase letters.
