[BUG] Statusline shows 0% context usage after exit/re-enter, contradicts `/context` command
Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened May 25, 2026 by HabibMrad Closed May 29, 2026
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
The statusline context usage indicator displays 0% after exiting and re-entering Claude, but the /context command shows the
actual usage (e.g., 42%). This creates confusion about true context consumption.
What Should Happen?
Statusline should accurately reflect context usage percentage matching /context command output.
Actual behavior:
- Run
/context→ shows 83.4k/200k tokens (42%) - Statusline shows 0%
Error Messages/Logs

**Environment:**
- OS: Windows 11
