Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I am using PowerShell 7.6 on Windows 11. Despite multiple attempts to configure the statusline in the Claude CLI, it fails to appear at the bottom when I run claude. This feature works perfectly on Linux and Unix environments, but seems to be consistently failing on Windows.

Could you please provide the specific configuration steps or requirements for the Claude CLI statusline within a Windows 11 PowerShell environment? If this is a known compatibility issue or a bug, please let me know so I can wait for a future patch.

What Should Happen?

When running Claude in Windows 11 PowerShell, the statusline should be visible at the bottom of the terminal while it's active and must remain displayed even after the task is completed.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

I tried to configure the settings using Claude, but it was unsuccessful. Claude's own analysis suggested that this issue should be submitted as a bug report. It appears that there are fundamental differences between Bash and PowerShell, and the current consensus is that the Claude CLI does not yet fully support these features on PowerShell
