[Bug] MCP settings configuration lacks feedback and validation messaging

Bug Description
I was alerted of an issue at the mcp settings and asked to use the /doctor option, then changed some env vars at my .rc zsh scripts and the message now is vague, no conclusions, no feedback, no info whether if that worked or not
