Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Every time I open the Connectors/Customize settings page in the Claude desktop app, macOS displays a popup saying "The 'git' command requires the command line developer tools." This happens automatically on page load without me doing anything. I do not use Claude Code. Anthropic support confirmed this is unexpected behavior. I tried disabling Claude in Chrome but the popup still appears on any Connectors page.

What Should Happen?

The Connectors/Customize settings page should load without triggering any macOS developer tools prompts.
