[BUG] Duplicating Slash Commands When Typing

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened May 22, 2026 by JWShroyer Closed Jun 8, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When I use Claude Code and try to invoke a slash command the more I type (or even backspace) duplicate entries will spawn in and push my text entry up so I can't see what I'm typing anymore. Backspacing until the slash is gone will fix the layout though.

Prompt Still On Screen

Prompt Off-Screen after a few backspaces and typing again

What Should Happen?

Slash commands should filter out as expected when typing without pushing my text off the screen
