Voice hold mode: recording starts seconds after indicator appears, dropping initial speech

Description

In /voice hold mode, when you press and hold the push-to-talk key, the recording indicator appears immediately, but actual audio capture doesn't begin until a few seconds later. Anything spoken between the indicator showing and capture starting is lost.

Repro

1. Run /voice hold
2. Hold the push-to-talk key and immediately start speaking
3. Observe: indicator appears right away, but the first few seconds of speech are not transcribed

Expected

Recording begins at the same moment the indicator appears.
