Claude Code v2.1.136 extension fails to activate — 'openLast' command not found

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened May 9, 2026 by mynewcareer Closed May 9, 2026

Version that broke: 2.1.136 (released ~4 hrs ago)
Last working version: 2.1.135 (yesterday)
OS: Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26200
VSCode version: 1.119.0 (commit 8b640eef5a6c6089c029249d48efa5c99adf7d51, x64)

Error:

command 'claude-vscode.editor.openLast' not found

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Update Claude Code extension to 2.1.136
  2. Reload VSCode
  3. Trigger any binding/command that calls claude-vscode.editor.openLast

Expected: Command resolves and opens last Claude session.

Actual: "command not found" error — extension appears to fail activation, command is not registered.

Workaround: Roll back to v2.1.135.

Extension logs: _(will add from Output → Claude Code channel if reproducible)_
