Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

I often want to mention specific .png files to claude, I would prefer an easier way than transcribing their filename into @-mention until I get far enough for autocomplete to be unique.

Proposed Solution

It should prefer the active file so it's really easy to mention the png I'm looking at right now.

Alternative Solutions

always mention the active file automatically

Priority

Medium - Would be very helpful

Use Case Example

I'm working on an analysis of some physical system, having claude write python code for simulations + plots. I review the plots and provide feedback like "in @-mention-a-specific-png in the title you say a gradient in x, but the axes are i and j, have the gradient be along i or j".
