Feature Documentation Request: Background Commands and Process Management
Title: Feature Documentation Request: Background Commands and Process Management
Labels: documentation, enhancement
Body:
Hi Claude Code Team,
The "Background commands" feature introduced in v1.0.71 is a fantastic addition, but it's currently undocumented on the official documentation site.
Adding official documentation would help users discover and properly utilize what appears to be a comprehensive feature set for background process management.
Based on the changelog and other available information, the documentation should cover:
- The interactive
Ctrl+Bshortcut for running background commands. - The
run_in_backgroundparameter for theBashtool. - The new
BashOutputandKillBashtools for monitoring and terminating background processes. - The new
/bashesslash command for listing active processes.
This new functionality would be a great fit for a new "Common Workflows" section and would also require updates to the documentation for keyboard shortcuts, slash commands, and the list of available tools.
Thanks for your consideration
