Yes, please so annoying, delete it.
Why isn't there a setting for this? Who thought it was a great idea to ship an annoying feature without a kill switch?
This is very distracting because it always looks like there's an action item.

I read the change log and the release updates after each update which I find valuable. This however is just too distracting. It would be nice to have the option to hide tips in the settings.
whomever thought this tips thing was a good idea needs to talk to a user... any user.
This.. so much this.
It's just so annoying guys and it randomly pops up. It didn't show up for a couple of days and now its back with a vengeance.
Anthropic! You already won. You have the best tool in the industry. Now stop trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Stop making me explore alternatives like crush etc. Vertical screen space on a console is a precious commodity. Stop trying to F' that up.

And no. I'm not going to ask Claude to create a todo list. If i have to do all that, I might as well go ahead and switch to cursor. The whole usp of your tool is simplicity and auto figuring out things and it does it beautifully.
This is what happens when you add product owners to a dev focused tool:

You are losing a lot of good will with these stupid antics. Connect to IDE ? Seriously ? Are you advertising for your competition now ?
A few times i noticed a bug on top of it, there's double tip:
The precious irony is how Claude tries tirelessly to inform me of the flag that needs to be set in the .json config file somewhere... plausible options like CLAUDE_NO_TIPS, CLAUDE_TIPS_DISABLED etc.
Hallucinations all!
Very poor product design choice to place a prominent repetitive multi line UI element right above the input prompt. This needs to be an option to disable and better yet, do what many products do: Show the tip at start of conversation and then go away. Please fix ASAP
A usability issue with tips as-implemented is that they disappear without being dismissed. I start something, a tip pops up, I think "hey, that sounds potentially useful", but before I have a chance to read/digest it, the tip is gone. In addition to being able to disable them, it'd be nice if there were a discoverable way of looking at the last tip (like a shortcut listed by '?'), and maybe even be able to read through the full set of tips while you're there.

A phenomenal tip I found today duplicating the exact same message that's below the edit box. So now we have double the fun and 4 vertical lines gone at any given time for this useless tip.
This is after being a Claude code user for the past 2 months. At least check how long the user has been using your product before showing these garbage tips to them.
Another new day, another new feature. Till today I didn't have worry that Anthropic will ever train on my data (unlike others). Now I do. Most of the developers work on code that could be from their companies. They themselves don't have any right to give you the rights to the code. And data retention of 5 years is straight from gestapo.
Reconsider this 'feature':

I have merged a change to allow disabling tips. It will be available in the next release
