[BUG] Cowork rises CPU temperature to 83°C even when idle

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Cowork tab rises CPU temperature to spike from 53°C to 83°C when opened, even when entirely idle right in your Claude Code interface.

Today newly installed Claude Desktop on Windows 10 in VirtualBox guest (8GB RAM).
When run with 16GB RAM, it still produces 75°C doing exactly nothing.

What Should Happen?

The whole Claude Code desktop client is a piece of very poorly programmed software.

It should be the bedrock to be able to make experiments and development.

Instead, it is a source of problems of its own. Unfriendly to developers, unfriendly to end user (not recommendable to them at the moment).
