What's Wrong?

Hi — adding my details to this known issue.

I'm hitting the same "Virtual Machine Platform not available" error on Cowork. Clicking the prompt to enable the feature and restarting (twice) has not resolved it.

Environment

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro, Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8246)
  • Claude Desktop version: 1.5354.0 (9a9e3d)
  • CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1260P (16 cores)
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Virtual Machine Platform: Enabled
  • Windows Hypervisor Platform: Enabled

Behaviour
Cowork tab shows the "Virtual Machine Platform not available" error immediately on launch. Restarting after enabling the feature makes no difference. Standard Claude chat works fine — only Cowork is affected.

This appears to be the same platform detection bug reported in #32004, #29887, #27420, and #27316. Flagging here to add to the signal — this is affecting paying Pro users who cannot access a feature they're subscribed to.

Happy to provide logs or further diagnostics if helpful.
