[FEATURE] Statusline support fast (shortcut) prompting

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

Some workflow triggering prompts are being constantly used throughout an agentic development session. Things like PR review, trigger your own custom workflows etc. Even tho the details of the prompt and instructructions can be detailed in the md, but manual invocations of such workflow or process is still quite reptitive

Proposed Solution

It would be great if status line can support some type of shortcut linking ability, whereby clicking a linked text in statusline, pre-defined prompts can be added and send in Claude Code chat directly with zero manual typing.

High - Significant impact on productivity

Feature Category

CLI commands and flags

Use Case Example

Example

  • I am working on 3 features in parallel
  • I have feature planning, implementation planning, PR workflows
  • I have to ask Claude to do each of the workflow manually (tho i can combo workflows, i still need to reply yes in chat when Claude asks for confirmation)

Having a statusline support predefined prompts would then make it so I can

  • Predefine statusline cmds to prompt and invoke feature/implementation/PR workflows
  • Predefine statusline cmds to prompt and reply yes
  • this way when discussions are not needed, i can just click and go go go go
