[Feature Request] Improve language to be more specific and use less jargon

Bug Description
Language such as "signals intent" and jargon like "becomes a no-op" obfuscates actual meaning. It requires extra work to suss out what this means and in this case it included incorrect assumptions that would have wasted time if I had not caught it.
