[BUG] Claude Code on desktop via SSH hangs

What's Wrong?

I am using Claude Desktop on MacOS and trying to use the Code session, connected to a VM on GCP. I can connect the SSH and see my folders, but when I start a chat, it sits at "Starting session..." forever.

What Should Happen?

Chat starts while using the SSH connection in Claude Code tab on desktop.
