[BUG] Figma MCP tool times out after 4 minutes in Claude Desktop (Mac)

What's Wrong?

Description:
When using the Figma MCP tool in Claude Desktop, the call times out after 4 minutes with: “No result received from the Claude Desktop app after waiting 4 minutes. The local MCP server providing this tool may be unresponsive, crashed, or not running. Further calls to this tool are likely to time out the same way; consider using an alternative approach or ask the user to restart their local MCP servers.”

I’ve restarted the local MCP server and restarted Claude Desktop, but the same timeout happens again.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start your Figma MCP server locally (make sure it’s running and reachable).
2. In Claude Desktop, run a prompt that triggers the Figma MCP tool (for example, “Fetch info from this Figma node URL: …”).
3. Observe the tool call hang, then fail after exactly 4 minutes with the “No result received from the Claude Desktop app after waiting 4 minutes …” timeout message.
4. Restart the MCP server and restart Claude Desktop, then repeat step 2 and confirm the same 4 minute timeout happens again.
