[BUG] Completed background shell acts as a confirmation to an ongoing task plan

What's Wrong?

I was discussing with Claude an implementation of a new feature, there was a background shell that finished and caused claude to automatically conclude the conversion and work on the feature

What Should Happen?

Claude should give an update and wait on my confirmation

Steps to Reproduce

1. Assign a task to claude that produces a long-running shell command
2. Send the long-running command to background
3. Discuss something else (maybe not relative)
4. Ask claude to not write anything just yet.
5. Wait for the long-running command to finish
