[BUG] Input text turns white on black background in light/parchment theme

What's Wrong?

When typing in the input box and submitting, text renders as white
against a black background, making it unreadable in light/parchment
themes.

What Should Happen?

Expected: text remains readable after submit
Actual: text appears white on black background

Text and UI elements should render with sufficient contrast against the
active theme background.
