[Bug] Ctrl+O and Ctrl+E message history toggle not functioning

Bug Description
ctrol+o and ctrl+e does NOT show any previous messages - the command text at the bottom toggles (press ctrl+e to show and ctrl+e to hide) but actual messages on scrolling up are still the same in both states. cannot look at history of my convo
