The # command is not working for adding items to memory

[]The "Fin" AI Agent chat bot on the anthropic site and the marketing email I just got, along with the https://anthropic.skilljar.com/claude-code-in-action/303241 course from Anthropic Academy state/show that the # command should work for managing memory in Claude Code, but it doesn't seem to work. I saw an issue on here stating it was deprecated, so which is it? Does it work or not?
