Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

The rotating progress messages (Clauding, Forging, Determining, etc.) are a nice touch. Suggesting an addition to the pool: "Reticulating Splines" — a nod to the classic Maxis/SimCity loading screen message that's become a universal developer in-joke.

Low priority, high vibes.

Proposed Solution

During the "Clauding, Forging, Determining ETC" messages, include "Reticulating Splines" as a possible sequence message

Alternative Solutions

This is a critical UX gap and should be prioritised with great...priority.

Priority

Low - Nice to have

Use Case Example

  1. I'm working on any project with Claude Code
  2. I'm waiting for a long-running task to complete
  3. The progress messages rotate through "Clauding", "Forging", "Determining", etc.
  4. Adding "Reticulating Splines" to the message pool would make the wait more entertaining — it's a universally recognised developer easter egg (Maxis/SimCity, 1999)

Additional Context

Not a serious productivity request — just a cultural nod that would make developers smile. The existing rotating messages already set the tone for this kind of thing
