[BUG] Nonsense words showing up in Claude Code terminal and Claude Desktop Claude Code tab.
Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Apr 4, 2026 by plilley2020 Closed Apr 8, 2026
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Whenever I submit any prompt or start an agent, the console shows things like "Herding", "Discombobulating", "Having a geez", etc. I pay close attention to Claude's output, and this is annoying, a waste of time, and a waste of token capacity. I only want to see real actions, not this made up nonsense.
What Should Happen?
Claude should only show actual "thinking", status, and output, not these nonsense words that someone thought would be funny.
