Feature request: Keyboard shortcut to scroll to bottom of conversation

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Apr 4, 2026 by G2OP Closed Apr 8, 2026

Problem

When switching between multiple sessions in the desktop app, the conversation view stays scrolled to the top. There is no way to quickly jump to the bottom (latest message) without manually scrolling down.

This is especially painful when sessions are long — you have to scroll through the entire conversation history every time you switch back to a session.

Expected behavior

A keyboard shortcut (e.g. Cmd+End, Cmd+↓, or a configurable keybinding) that instantly scrolls to the bottom of the current conversation.

Current workarounds

  • Manual scroll with trackpad/mouse (slow and tedious)
  • No keybinding action exists for this — checked the full list of available actions in the keybindings system, there is no transcript:scrollToBottom or equivalent

Environment

  • Claude Code desktop app (macOS)
  • Multiple sessions open simultaneously
