/buddy (Moteaxl): Add language/locale support (Japanese)

Feature Request

The /buddy companion (Moteaxl) currently only speaks in English. It would be great to have language/locale support so that the companion's speech bubbles match the user's preferred language.

Use Case

  • Users who set Japanese (or other languages) in their CLAUDE.md global instructions expect all UI elements to follow that language preference
  • The companion feels disconnected from the rest of the experience when it speaks a different language

Proposed Solution

  • Respect the system locale or a language setting in settings.json
  • Or allow CLAUDE.md instructions to influence the companion's language

  • macOS (Darwin 24.6.0, arm64)
