Title: Input field does not clear after submitting a prompt

Description:
After submitting a prompt, the text remains in the input field
instead of clearing. This persists across restarts of Claude Code.

Environment:

• Claude Code version: [run claude --version and paste here]
• Terminal: VS Code integrated terminal
• OS: macOS (Darwin 25.3.0)
• Shell: zsh

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Claude Code in VS Code terminal
2. Type a prompt and submit
3. The input text stays in the input field instead of clearing

Expected behavior:
Input field clears after submitting a prompt.

Actual behavior:
Input text persists in the field after submission.

Troubleshooting already attempted:

• Restarted Claude Code
• Updated to latest version via claude update
