[Question] How to specify relative path to a tool inside the repo in hooks?

The reformat tool I have in post tool use hook lives inside the repo so the hook config has a relative path that fails _unless_ claude calls it from the root of the project. Is there a variable I can use to specify the root of the project or the claude code's working directory?
