[BUG] Account Access Issue: Incorrect Deactivation of Professional Account

Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Apr 1, 2026 by Ye-Alexius Closed May 7, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

My account has been suspended. I believe this is a false positive triggered by my unique network environment. I am a professional engineer based in Japan who has been a loyal Claude user for over a year. I rely on Claude for critical project development, and this suspension is severely impacting my professional deliverables.

What Should Happen?

I expect to maintain access to my account while using a VPN for legitimate cross-border professional work, as long as the primary billing/usage intent aligns with supported regions.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

1.Geographic Location: I am physically located in Japan for work.
2.Network Environment: Because I collaborate with clients in Mainland China, I frequently use professional VPN services to maintain cross-border communication and tool access.
3.Device Info: Some of my engineering hardware is sourced from China, which might lead to inconsistencies in system telemetry.
4.I got email that my account suspend.
