Feature request: Voice message replies with sound notification

Feature Request

When Claude Code finishes a task or sends a reply, it would be great if it could:

  1. Play a sound notification so the user knows the reply is ready (like a message ping)
  2. Read the reply as a voice message (TTS) so the user can listen instead of reading

Why

When coding with Claude Code in voice mode, the flow is:

  • User speaks (voice input) → Claude processes → Claude replies with text

The bottleneck is reading the text reply. If Claude could speak the reply back, the conversation would be much faster — like a real pair programming session over a call.

Even just a sound notification when the reply is ready would help — right now you have to keep watching the terminal to know when it's done.

Use case

Working on a large codebase, giving instructions via voice, Claude builds features. Instead of reading every reply, just hear "Done — pushed the metrics fix and the calendar thumbnails" as audio. Much faster iteration.
