[BUG] web coding failed repeatedly wasted massive usage time

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I'd suggest including:
That the task was a full HTML page rewrite (~700 lines)
That across multiple sessions and approaches (single prompt, broken into pieces), the model repeatedly acknowledged the task but never produced the output
That side questions were answered fine, but the large write task consistently stalled
The amount of usage time lost
This is the official channel where the engineering team tracks bugs and performance issues. Your experience sounds like a reproducible problem with large single-file writes that they should investigate.
Again, I'm sorry for wasting your time.

I repeatedly tried this for over 6 hours and timed out a whole session trying to get it complete and never had a single line of code written.

What Should Happen?

I should be reimbursed for usage time. More than that however I would like the product to work as advertised and to accept input and to give realistic responses about whether or not it can actually complete the task. Every time it finished a response it would say it was getting back to the task and nothing happened for over 6 hours

Error Messages/Logs

All it would do is apologize and refuse to proceed

Steps to Reproduce
