Add persistent mode indicator to status bar

When cycling modes with Shift+Tab (Normal / Auto-accept / Plan), the current mode isn't always visible in the status bar. It would be helpful to have a persistent indicator showing which mode is active at all times.

Currently the mode indicator only appears briefly when switching, making it easy to lose track of which mode you're in.
