What's Wrong?

Conversation history in Claude Code Desktop app disappears after a system reboot, but persists after simply closing and reopening the application.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Claude Code Desktop app
  2. Have some conversations
  3. Close the application, then reopen → conversations are still visible in the left sidebar ✅
  4. Reboot the computer, then open the application → all conversations are gone ❌

Expected Behavior:
Conversation history should persist after a system reboot, just as it does after closing and reopening the app.

Environment:

  • OS: Windows 10 Enterprise (10.0.19045)
  • Claude Code version: 2.1.81
  • Plan: Max plan

What Should Happen?

Conversation history should persist after a system reboot, just as it does after closing and reopening the app. All previous conversations should remain visible in the left sidebar.
