Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Claude Code spontaneously interrupts its own response after churning for ~40 seconds. The "Interrupted · What should Claude do instead?" message appears without any user action (no Escape key pressed, no hooks
configured).

What Should Happen?

The model continues generating until it produces a response.

Error Messages/Logs

The model self-interrupts mid-generation and shows "Interrupted · What should Claude do instead?"
