[BUG] Slash commands (/bug, /doctor) produce no response in Claude Code Desktop app on macOS

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Slash commands do not respond when typed in the Desktop app.
Typing /bug or /doctor in the message input and pressing Enter produces
no output, no error, and no visible reaction.

What Should Happen?

The /doctor command should run diagnostics and display results.
The /bug command should open a bug report form or prompt.

Error Messages/Logs

No response at all. The input clears but nothing is shown.
