[BUG] Slow or no response to slash commands
Resolved 💬 4 comments Opened Dec 20, 2025 by mintmcqueen Closed Feb 14, 2026
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
If user suggests a slash command or provides feedback while Claude is executing a task, Claude may continue on its trajectory without pausing until completing its original task. It seems like the harness is now encouraging Claude to prioritize prior tasks rather than immediate user feedback.
The result is Claude sometimes getting ahead of user and running into mistakes, mis-planning, or unintended implementations.
What Should Happen?
Claude should more dynamically and flexibly interact with the User without requiring user to halt processes.
