Problem Statement

Feature Request: Allow Cowork to access folders outside the user home directory

Currently, Cowork restricts folder selection to the user's home directory (C:\Users\<username>). This prevents users from selecting work folders on secondary drives (e.g., D:\).

This is particularly frustrating for users who store their projects and files on a secondary drive to save space on the system drive.

Expected behavior: Cowork should allow selecting any folder the user has read/write access to, regardless of which drive it is on.

Proposed Solution

Suggested fix: Remove or relax the home directory restriction, or add an option in Settings to define allowed root paths.
