[BUG] Claude Code in desktop app not responsive

What's Wrong?
Claude Code desktop app is completely unresponsive after updating to macOS Tahoe 26.3.1 on MacBook Air M2. The app opens but stays stuck on "Smooshing..." indefinitely and does not respond to any input.
What Should Happen?
Claude Code in desktop app should load normally and respond to messages as usual after the macOS update.
Error Messages/Logs
No explicit error message shown. UI displays "Smooshing..." loading state that never resolves.
Steps to Reproduce
Use MacBook Air M2
Update macOS to Tahoe 26.3.1
Open Claude Code desktop app
Type any message and send
App hangs — no response received

Problem

Steps to Reproduce
- Update macOS to Tahoe 26.3.1
- Open Claude Code desktop app
- Type any message → no response
Expected Behavior
Claude Code should respond normally.
Actual Behavior
App is unresponsive. "Smooshing..." loading state persists indefinitely with no reply.
Troubleshooting Already Attempted
- Restarted the app ❌ still broken
- Reinstalled Claude Code ❌ still broken

- Issue started immediately after macOS Tahoe update
- Terminal-based
