[BUG] Opening external editor (Neovim) clears conversation log display

What's Wrong?

Opening the external editor (Neovim) to edit a prompt clears the conversation log display. After closing the editor, the chat history is no longer visible in the terminal.

What Should Happen?

The conversation log should remain visible after returning from the external editor.

Error Messages/Logs

No error messages.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start a Claude Code session and have a conversation with several exchanges
  2. Press Ctrl+G to open the prompt in Neovim
  3. Close Neovim
  4. The conversation log is cleared from the terminal display
