Hebrew (RTL) text is displayed as LTR in Claude Code UI
Resolved 💬 5 comments Opened Mar 5, 2026 by pmk-76 Closed Apr 2, 2026
Description
When Claude responds in Hebrew (or other RTL languages), the text direction is left-to-right instead of right-to-left. This makes Hebrew text difficult to read in the Claude Code interface.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Claude Code
- Ask Claude to respond in Hebrew
- Observe that the Hebrew text is rendered LTR instead of RTL
Expected Behavior
Hebrew and other RTL language text should be displayed right-to-left.
Actual Behavior
All text is rendered left-to-right regardless of language direction.

Environment
- Claude Code (Desktop app)
- Windows 11 Pro
- Claude Opus 4.6
