[BUG] "GitHub app not installed for this repository" error despite app being correctly installed and configured

What's Wrong?

Claude Code web (claude.ai) shows "GitHub app not installed for this repository" error even though the Claude for GitHub app is fully installed and configured correctly.

Environment:

• Platform: Claude.ai web (Claude Code)
• GitHub username: rkrieg
• Repository: rkrieg/SplitLab
• App installed: Claude for GitHub (Developed by Anthropic)
• Repository access setting: Only select repositories → rkrieg/SplitLab selected
• Permissions: Read access to administration, code, and metadata

Additional Context:
This appears to be a backend indexing issue similar to #12839, #16256, and #21377. Requesting a backend repository index reset for GitHub user: rkrieg.

What Should Happen?

Expected Behavior:
Claude Code should recognize the installed GitHub app and allow access to the repository.

Actual Behavior:
Persistent error: "GitHub app not installed for this repository." despite the app being installed 44+ minutes ago with rkrieg/SplitLab explicitly listed under Repository Access.

2. Grant access to specific repository (rkrieg/SplitLab)
3. Open Claude Code on claude.ai and select the SplitLab repository
4. Error banner appears: "GitHub app not installed for this repository."
