[FEATURE] Show token usage on each prompt

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

Today when prompting the agent, I don't have a clue of how many tokens I spent on that request. I'd like to see this so I can learn about my spending in the flow of work.

Proposed Solution

I would like to have a small number next to my prompt once it's completed showing the number of tokens spent in that particular prompt. Somewhere in the thread it would be good to see the total amount of tokens spent in that thread.

Alternative Solutions

Instead of having an number for each prompt, being able to see a thread summary at the bottom would also be helpful.

Priority

Medium - Would be very helpful

Use Case Example

When I'm using Claude Code, if I can see the amount of tokens my prompt take, I can adapt and shape my prompts a bit more efficiently. This level of optimization would only be possible if I had clear observability over my consumption.

Additional Context

Just a tiny number of tokens spent next to each prompt would do and having a button somewhere to see the totals for the current thread.
