Bug Description
When running claude code for a while in VSCODE and7or Cursor, and typically when using ultrathink and parallel subagents, it starts going crazy with fast auto scrolling and eventually crashes.

it gets annoying especially when you start typing per letter it re-draws the entire conversation scrolling from the top causing it to flicker if you type fast.
Just a fair warning, dont attempt to type a long propt if this is happening as it has the tendency to crash if you're in VS Code or Cursor terminals, wasting yout time and effort for that prompt, learned it the hard way!
Even If we dont scroll It crashes after after sometime, And It stucks at top and even if we scroll down it srolls up automatically
This has been going on for 2 months at least and it's still not fixed. I'm switching to codex because of it.
@elvisun can you confirm the bug does not occur with codex?
yup, codex works great for me. the problem happened for me after sub agent release, whenever it calls a subagent it would sometimes do that
Gentlemen, we might get Sonnet 5 first before getting this fixed.
ctrl+t, hiding to-do list perhaps could fix your problem.
It just crashed again.
I think Anthropic needs to pin an issue about this because there are tons of duplicates describing the same thing:

still happening on Cursor Version: 2.2.20, VSCode Version: 1.105.1
Yep i'm having this problem eversince first use Claude Code on Cursor terminal
Current version still persist: Cursor: 2.2.20 Claude Code: 2.0.70
