Session labels not updated when project/repo is renamed

What's Wrong?

Sessions in the Claude Code UI retain stale project labels after a repository or project directory is renamed. Old sessions continue to show the previous project name indefinitely, even though the project has been renamed.

Actual Behavior
Old sessions permanently display the project name from when the session was created. This makes the session list confusing — sessions for the same project appear under different names.

What Should Happen?

Retroactively update session labels when the repo/directory is renamed, OR
Allow users to manually rename/relabel past sessions

Error Messages/Logs

none n/a

Steps to Reproduce

Create sessions in a project directory (e.g., ytshrtmaker)
Rename the project/directory to something else (e.g., polybot)
Open the Sessions list in Claude Code
Expected Behavior
Past sessions should reflect the current project name, or there should be a way to manually relabel/correct old session nam
