What's Wrong?

Bug Description:
After the automatic update to v2.1.63 (updated 2026-03-02),
Arabic text input appears reversed/mirrored in the chat input field.
This is affecting my paid subscription experience.

Impact:
I am a paid Claude subscriber and this bug is directly impacting
my ability to use the product I'm paying for. This regression
appeared after an automatic update with no option to opt-out.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install/update Claude Code to v2.1.63
  2. Type any Arabic (RTL) text in the chat input
  3. Text appears reversed and mirrored

Expected Behavior:
Arabic text displays correctly right-to-left

Actual Behavior:
Text appears mirrored/reversed (LTR rendering bug)

Environment:

  • VS Code on macOS
  • Claude Code v2.1.63
  • Language: Arabic (RTL)

Additional Note:
Gemini Code Assist extension on the same VS Code displays
Arabic text correctly, confirming this is a Claude Code specific issue.
This worked correctly before v2.1.63.

Request:
Please prioritize a fix or provide a rollback option urgently.
