[Feature Request] Auto-save active sessions before restart to prevent token loss

Bug Description
I had claude desktop open with an active session for a few days now. After noticing a message at the top banner stating "We are experiencing performance issues", I restarted my claude desktop. It lost all my previous live session (not even archived) and as a result it started having to re-read my entire code base burning many tokens. For situations like this, there should be some additional usage provided back to users as this is burning a ton of tokens based on the repo size.
