What's Wrong?

When I ask Claude Code (Opus 4.6) to conduct deep research over the web, it will very often get stuck fetching a web page. I don't know if it understands the concept of a timeout, no matter how many times I ask Claude to timeout before visiting a webpage, it still ignores my instructions and gets stuck again. I have seen it get stuck for 20+ minutes. The issue does happen with agent teams as well.

What Should Happen?

Claude should have a reasonable timeout for web page visits.

Steps to Reproduce

• Open Claude code.
• Pick a topic and ask claude to research the web deeply to give you an answer.
• Keep eyeing what is it currently doing and if it is stuck fetching 1 page for too long then you reproduced the issue.

Im not sure if I'm allowed to paste here specific URLs where it got stuck.
