[BUG] Web based Claude cannot access subdirectories in github

What's Wrong?
Using claude on the web with a new project, adding a github repo works, however the subdirectories in that github repo with corresponding files do not load, it is blank. Claude complains that I did not upload all the files, but in actuality when adding the github repo, it did not detect the subdirectory files.
What Should Happen?
Claude should list and add the files in subdirectories inside a github repo.

Steps to Reproduce
- Create project on claudes website.
- Add github repo (assuming you already have a connector associated with github account
- In the github repo add window, select a subdirectory to view files.
- At this point the subdirectory will be completely empty in the window (even though through github, its clear there are files there).

Same issue. Sync was working fine as of yesterday for my Claude Enterprise account, but the sync has been broken all of today. Disconnecting the GitHub connector and removing the Claude application from my GitHub settings did not fix the issue.
Generally, I have found the GitHub connector to be the glitchiest component of the Claude app.

Same issue. This started yesterday evening at about 11:00 PM Rome time.
For me the Claude Model is Sonnet 4.5, but I think this is transversal to all the models
Bug Description:
Claude Code cannot browse beyond the root directory of a GitHub repository. When attempting to explore a repository, it only shows/accesses files located directly in the root folder, but fails to display or navigate into subdirectories.
Impact:
This prevents Claude Code from accessing the actual codebase structure, as most projects have their source code organized in subdirectories (e.g., /src, /lib, /components, etc.).
Scope:
Multiple users have reported the same issue, confirming it's not a permissions or configuration problem on individual setups, but rather a limitation/bug in Claude Code's repository browsing functionality.
Expected Behavior:
Claude Code should be able to recursively browse and access files in all subdirectories of a repository, not just the root level.
Current Behavior:
Only files at the root directory level are visible/accessible.
PLEASE FIX IT ASAP.

I've reported the bug to support@anthropic.com and feedback@anthropic.com by email but not real news yet. I believe this is the only way for them to get the ticket (cause it is not linked to claude-code), maybe if some other people do it too this will accelerate the process.

I had posted this issue to Anthropic Support, and is close to 24hrs since i heard anything from them. Not sure, if we are enough in numbers!! Makes me wonder how are others coping with this glitch!! Keeping my fingers crossed for a resolution at the earliest!!

I am having the exact same issue and am submitting a ticket to support. The last time I know I was able to access the code base in my github repository linked to a project was last Friday. However, I was not attempting to use the feature again until today, so no idea when it started.

Good news!! It seems they have fixed it!! I can see Git repo now showing directory structure!!!! Fingers crossed!!!
