Claude made incorrect assumptions about my project

What You Asked Claude to Do

Claude overwrote my previous script. Did not follow best practices in creating a backup when you modify a file. Opus also did not follow my prompts to stay within assigned software. Opus ended up attempting to write its own version of openclaw, which is not what I asked.

What Claude Actually Did

Claude ignored prompt instructions and consumed my tokens by not utilizing my previous work and getting too creative

Expected Behavior

Follow my prompts not waste precious tokens
