Problem Statement

Hi everyone,

First, I want to express my genuine appreciation for Claude and the incredible work the Anthropic team has put into building it. It has been an indispensable tool for my workflow, and I'm deeply grateful for it.

That said, I'd like to raise a feature request that I believe would benefit a significant segment of the user base: solo developers who rely on Claude as their primary coding assistant.

The ask:

Access to the 1M token context window on Max plans — Currently, the 1M context window is only available via the API in beta. For developers using Claude Code under a Max subscription, this is a significant limitation when working with large codebases.

An unlimited or higher-ceiling usage tier — As a solo developer working for a team, Claude is my sole AI assistant. I'm consistently hitting the weekly usage caps even on the Max 20x plan ($200/month). I would happily pay a premium — say, €220+/month — for a plan that offers truly unlimited or substantially higher usage.

Why this matters:
The current Max plan, while excellent, still enforces weekly rolling limits. When you hit the ceiling, you can purchase additional usage at standard API rates, but this creates unpredictable billing. A flat-rate, high-ceiling plan would give solo developers like me the peace of mind to work without interruption.

I understand that a small number of users abused the system and triggered the rate limit changes — that's completely fair. But I believe there's a middle ground: a clearly priced, premium tier for power users who want predictability and scale.

If others feel the same way, let's make some noise — the more voices, the better the chances of this being heard.

Take care, and thanks again to the whole Anthropic team. 🙏

Proposed Solution

maybe just sonent atleast unlimited but the rate issue is big imo
